It’s a 20 day campaign aimed at raising awareness on GBV in the community and raising funds for GVRC and a Gender Based Violence Recovery Centre (GBVRC) at the Eldama Ravine Sub County Referral Hospital.
GVRC and Solian Athletic Club extends an invitation to you to partner with us in supporting survivors of GBV and their families through this gracious campaign. The marathon has been flagged off today, November 18, 2019 at
During this year’s day, GVRC celebrated the incredible work done by the women in law enforcement and the judicial systems that have played a key role in facilitating access to justice for survivors across the country. Twenty-six (26) female police officers, DCI representatives and other officers were hosted at GVRC’s head office to mark and celebrate achievements towards gender equality and also celebrate them for their outstanding work in supporting women and girls’ survivors of GBV.
These women dedicate their time and effort to go above and beyond their call of duty to ensure that all survivors get a fair chance to fight for their rights. Through their collaborative efforts with GVRC, in 2021, 448 survivors presented their case before court resulting in 14 successful convictions.
