They say you cannot preach in your neighbour’s house without making a difference in your own first. And this is why we made a special initiative to take the entire Nairobi Women’s Hospital Group staff through a two day Gender Based Violence and Child Protection training. It’s always gratifying to equip our staff with advanced skills and information sets on modern ways to clinically manage clients of Gender Based Violence and NWH Group policies regarding the same. We do acknowledge that anyone is susceptible to violence even at home and that‘s why it’s important for employees to understand ways in which they can prevent violence in their families. They were particularly excited to learn the ‘These are my private parts’ children play song to which they can use to teach their own children on which body parts are sacred and wrong for any adult to abuse.
We are now highly encouraged to see our employees embrace the fight and sign up for the Become 1 in a Million campaign, aimed at driving solidarity against Gender Based Violence. Would you like to sign up too? Click here
